Medical Outreach Missions

Taking healthcare directly to underserved and hard-to-reach communities.

The Challenge

Many remote and conflict-affected communities in Cameroon lack access to basic medical care due to distance, insecurity, and limited health infrastructure. Residents often walk long hours to reach a clinic—or go without care entirely.

What AHI Does

  • We deploy multidisciplinary outreach teams to villages with no functional health facilities.
  • We provide free medical consultations, basic treatment, wound care, and referrals for severe cases.
  • Our teams travel on foot and motorbike to reach isolated communities cut off by poor road networks.

Impact

  • Over 15,000 beneficiaries reached across 40+ communities.
  • Significant reduction in untreated common illnesses like malaria and respiratory infections.
  • Improved trust in healthcare through consistent community presence.

Partner Organizations

  • Local Councils & Community Leaders
  • Rural Health Centers
  • UN Agencies (where applicable)
